Darryl Settles

Darryl Settles serves as President of Catalyst Ventures Development (CVD), a Boston-based firm focused on the development and investment of multifamily and commercial properties throughout Boston and its surrounding communities. CVD is committed to empowering minority communities by expanding access to resources that drive sustainable financial growth. Longstanding collaborations with corporate partners, including Redgate and WinnCompanies, have resulted in a strong track record in strategic execution, business development, contract negotiation, and governance. 

A lifelong advocate for economic and cultural equity, Settles’ commitment is reflected through a range of  initiatives, including: founding the Beantown Jazz Fest; launching forums and programs such as the DCBK Black History Month Community Forums, Boston Means Business Forums, Community Game Changers Celebration, and Critical Mass publication; and production of notable events such as the “A Tribute to James Brown Saves Boston” concert.

Settles currently sits on several boards such as Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, Meet Boston, The Builder’s Coalition (TBC), Village Bank, and Commodore Builders.
