Sandy and Paul Edgerley

Sandy and Paul Edgerley are Trustees of the Edgerley Family Foundation.  Together they have served on more than 25 nonprofit boards and have committed their expertise and significant funds to supporting local and national organizations focused on youth, creating opportunities, providing access to education and community healthcare and supporting environmental causes.  Co-Founders of The ‘Quin, a new social club in Boston, Sandy and Paul have created a place intended to expand the lives of members and create a community of impact.  The Quin Impact Fund was formed as a philanthropic extension of the club that allows members to further contribute to important causes, locally and globally.  Both graduates of Harvard Business School, Sandy and Paul are actively involved with the institution.  Together they were awarded the honor of Distinguished Bostonian from the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce in 2017 and the United Way National Tocqueville award in 2011.  Paul and Sandy have been married for 36 years and have four children (Brian, Matthew, Hayley and Michael). 



Paul Edgerley is a Managing Director and co-founder of VantEdge Partners, a private investment family office group focused on building partnerships with extraordinary management teams to grow excellent businesses.  He previously served as a Managing Director at Bain Capital from 1988 until his retirement in January 2016.  During his time at Bain Capital, Mr. Edgerley played a senior leadership role in the firm, co-leading the private equity business, overseeing the firm’s expansion into Asia, and serving as the co-head of the firm’s investment committee.  Since his retirement, he continues to serve as a Senior Advisor to Bain Capital.

 

Throughout his career Paul has served on over 20 corporate boards and 10 non-profit boards. Paul is a current board member of Massachusetts General Brigham Hospital Board, a co-chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Harvard Business School, a member of the Harvard Global Advisory Board and a member of the Harvard Management Company, Inc. Board. Paul is the former National Board Chair of Year Up, an organization dedicated to closing the Opportunity Divide by empowering and supporting young adults to reach their potential through careers and higher education.


Sandy Edgerley has been actively involved in the education and social service nonprofit arena, including serving four years as Chair of The Boston Foundation and five years as the Chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.  She currently serves as co-chair of the Dean’s Advisory Board at Harvard Business School, as well as Co- Chair of the Mass General Brigham President’s Board of Advisors, and as a director of  several nonprofit boards including Boston College, The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Senior Advisory Board of Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston and of Horizons for Homeless Children. She previously served on the boards of numerous local nonprofits including City Year, Big Brother Big Sister of Massachusetts, the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, Be The Change Inc, Scholar Athletes, and as an overseer at The Museum of Fine Arts Boston and WGBH.

 

In 2013 Sandy founded real estate development firm Hexagon Properties, with a mission to create beautiful and luxurious homes and spaces and home away from home experiences, with a portfolio of properties in Aspen, Boston and Palm Beach. Her latest venture, The ‘Quin House, melds community building and design to create a unique and collective experience. 

 

Before launching her own firm, Sandy spent 10 years as a consultant, manager and Director of Recruiting and Training at Bain & Company. She then devoted her time and expertise to leading and participating in numerous nonprofit boards in the area. A graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Business School, Sandy continues to be an active and engaged alumnus.
