Veronica Chao is in her second stint as editor of The Boston Globe’s weekly Sunday magazine, overseeing longform narrative features as well as themed issues devoted to a broad range of topics from higher ed to health. She oversees the Globe’s relationship columns and is currently working to launch a grant-supported special season of the Globe’s Love Letters podcast. She previously spent six years as Deputy Managing Editor for Living/Arts, directing the Globe’s coverage of arts, books, and lifestyle topics. She joined the Globe as editor of the City Weekly section, after five years as editor of the biweekly city magazine The Improper Bostonian. A graduate of the University of Virginia, she has mentored young women through ASPIRE and the Alray Scholars Program, and served as an officer for the New England Chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association.
